Selena Gomez Joins Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham at the Academy Gala to Celebrate Friendship ‘Anniversary’

Brooklyn Beckham, Nicola Peltz and Selena Gomez celebrate their close relationship.

The trio attended the 2023 Academy Awards Gala at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Los Angeles on Sunday and got ready for a night together as they marked the “anniversary” of first meeting and hooking up.

Both Gomez, 31, and Peltz, 28, rocked Maison Valentino gowns as they walked the red carpet and enjoyed the star-studded evening.

Gomez’s black silk dress was designed especially for her by the creative director of the Italian fashion house Pierpaolo Piccioli. The off-the-shoulder dress featured silver sequined rose embroidery that wrapped around her neck and sat around her arms, and she also wore a pair of gloves. The actress finished the look with some bling from Tiffany, including a large ring, a bracelet and a pair of earrings.

Peltz wore a blush pink strapless dress from Valentino’s Spring 2024 collection, by the Italian fashion house, with a flower detail at the waist and a wrap around the neck that elevated the look.

She posed with her husband arm in arm on the red carpet, and Beckham (24) looked dapper in a classic suit with a white shirt.

The friends shared photos from their night together on Instagram, and Beckham shared a post featuring Gomez, along with two solo photos of him and his wife, captioned: “Our anniversary xx.”

Earlier this year, Peltz said Cosmopolitan Great Britain that she and her husband hung out with Gomez last fall at the academy gala and that’s how their friendship began. “We just clicked and had the best time,” the model recalled of the event. “And then we became super, super close. I feel like she is my soul sister.”

The trio jokingly adopted the name “troika” in the year since they became close friends, s Just the murders in the building star who came up with the nickname after they went on a New Year’s Eve trip together.

“Fine calls us triplets #foreverplusone,” Gomez wrote alongside several photos of their tropical getaway last January. Peltz commented: “Facts 💘💘💘🤣.”

Beckham later acknowledged the title, talking about their friendship Show Jennifer Hudson in March: “She says we are a threesome. She is such a sweet girl.”

He continued: “I love it when my wife makes new friends, especially really good friends. We all agree.”

In May, Peltz gave another glimpse into their dynamic together when she told Gomez in an interview with wonderful mind, “Our trinity! I love you very much. Selena, we love you so much, you have no idea.”

The “Single Soon” singer said it’s important to surround yourself with “like-minded people” and “love you for you,” as that’s what drew her to Peltz and Beckham.

“Also, I think we speak the same love language where it’s like we never go out in LA, we’re with our six dogs now, we’re always working or with the dogs,” Peltz said. “And when we hang out, it’s always like sleeping over at Gracie and Brooklyn Cook’s, watching a movie — and that’s the best.”

The transformers the actress added: “The best moments are when you don’t have to do anything. You can just be with the people you love, and that makes me so happy, but I’m also such a homemaker.”
