Selena Gomez, Martin Short, Steve Martin and Meryl Streep reunited at the AFI Awards luncheon at the Four Seasons Los Angeles in Beverly Hills on Friday to celebrate their hit series along with other shows and movies buzzing this awards season.
Gomez (31) shone on the red carpet in a black striped suit and Versace belt. After the event, she told how much it means to her to work with actors who have achieved the status of icons in Hollywood.

“This woman was not only my idol, but she was such a wonderful person to me,” Gomez captioned a photo of herself posing with Streep (74) on the red carpet.
“I feel so blessed to know you, Meryl,” Gomez’s post continued, addressing The The devil wears Prada star directly. “Thank you for always making me seen and heard.”

Gomez also shared a snap of the veteran actress – who wore her version of the lilac-hued power suit to the event – looking up at the younger actress with a smile. She captioned the photo with a happy tears emoticon and a purple heart.
The “Single Soon” singer also posted a photo of herself standing between Short, 73, and Martin, 78. “My boys,” she wrote in a sweet tribute to her on-screen crime-solving partners.

Gomez also shared a photo of herself posing Oppenheimer star Emily Blunt. “We won’t talk lol,” she wrote alongside a picture of both women with their hands over their mouths.
Other candid photos from the lunch show Gomez and Martin posing for a selfie at their table and looking at something Barbie star Margot Robbie’s phone when she stopped by to say hello.
