Selena Gomez is bringing Rare Beauty to the body care space with a collection she says fans of the brand have been clamoring for since she launched the company more than three years ago.
Today, it introduces Find Comfort, a 4-product line that includes a scented mist, body lotion, hand lotion, and an aromatherapy pen.
Gomez tells PEOPLE exclusively that the new line is “aligned with promoting self-acceptance” and “encourages everyone to find joy in feeling good without needing a perfect routine.”
“It’s all about emphasizing wellness,” adds the mental health advocate. “We spent a lot of time making sure the collection truly represented our brand, focusing on soothing packaging colors, light textures and soothing aromas. Our goal was to create an experience that helps people feel comfortable in their own skin and take a moment to find solace.”

For Gomez, the inspiration for the collection came from her “personal love” of body products and the continued interest of Rare Beauty customers in the category.
“I’ve been really into textures and scents, and there’s something about the sensory experience of these products that brings me comfort during stressful times,” she shares. “For me, after a bath or shower has always been my go-to for comfort and I wanted to bring that feeling to the Rare Beauty community.”
With notes of lemon zest, jasmine petals and cashmere wood, Find Comfort Body & Hair Fragrance Mist, $28, helps Gomez “detach from everyday stress.” The main ingredient in the formula is biotin, which gives hair extra shine and body.

The hydrating body lotion, $28, has a fast-absorbing formula and antioxidants like niacinamide to help maintain a healthy glow. Gomez says she’s “obsessed” with the hand moisturizer, $20, because it’s “rich but never greasy,” and the bottle opens with a twist to prevent losing the cap in your bag.
Rounding out the collection, the Stop & Soothe Aromatherapy Pen, $20, contains a natural blend of peppermint, lavender and tonka bean aromatherapy oils to help “relieve stress and decompress.”

Starting December 18, customers can exclusively shop the collection on the Sephora app. The line will be available on Sephora.com and RareBeauty.com on December 19th, followed by Sephora stores on December 26th.
Below, Gomez shares more about the launch and how she finds peace in her everyday life.
PEOPLE: What does self-care look like to you these days?
Gomez: Self-care looks different depending on how much time I have. I find solace in spending time with friends and family, especially my sister Gracie. Simple things like lighting a candle, taking a bath, or just cuddling with my dogs are my self-care rituals.
PEOPLE: What helps you calm down in stressful situations?
Gomez: When I’m in a stressful situation, what helps me is to take a minute to sit down and just breathe. I’ve collected my thoughts and I’m ready to take on the situation.
PEOPLE: When were you first able to identify a scent that soothed and comforted you?
Gomez: I really like fragrances because they help me relax from everyday stress. One of the first times I was comforted by fragrance was essential oils. A friend gave me an oil that I started rubbing behind my ears before big events and I was relieved. That experience was part of what inspired the Find Comfort Stop & Soothe Aromatherapy Pen, a quick and easy way to find a moment of comfort whenever you need it.

PEOPLE: How has your beauty philosophy evolved since the launch of Rare Beauty 2020?
Gomez: My fundamental belief is that everyone possesses a unique and rare quality, and a sense of beauty does not require conforming to one specific look. I personally experienced pressure to meet certain appearance expectations growing up, which made me challenge the unrealistic standards of perfection in the beauty industry. With Rare Beauty, I use beauty and makeup to shatter those ideals. I am focused on creating positive conversations about mental health and self-acceptance. I want to play a part in breaking down the stigma around mental health and mental illness, making these discussions more open and accepted.

PEOPLE: What is one of your biggest learnings in your role as a beauty entrepreneur?
Gomez: I am constantly learning something new and I have to say that starting Rare Beauty has been one of the greatest gifts for me personally and professionally. I would say the biggest thing I’ve learned since the beginning is that often things don’t go according to plan and you have to learn to be flexible and adapt. I also love hearing from our community and getting their feedback – it’s been a hugely important part of us moving forward as a company.
