‘Senior Swifties’ Show off ‘Swag’ Dance Routine to Cheer on Kansas City Chiefs

The “Senior Swifties” show their stuff!

In a video shared by Connie Chevalier, members of the Primrose Retirement Community in Sedalia, Missouri cheered on the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday ahead of their 27-24 playoff game against the Buffalo Bills.

Dancing to “Swag Surfin'” by FLY (Fast Life Yungstaz), the self-proclaimed “Senior Swifties” group held their heads as they circled their seats.

After the beat dropped, they extended their arms in a surfing position and swayed left and right. The Senior Swifties then demonstrated a doggy paddling motion by alternately extending their arms.

Wearing Kansas City Chiefs T-shirts and baseball caps on the side, the community then returned to the surfing movement.

“Senior Swifties,” one person’s sign read, while others held signs that read “87 Travis Kelce” and “I’m a Swiftie.”

“New name…same great people!” read Chevalier’s Facebook caption. “The ‘Primrose Sedalia Chiefs Cheerleaders’ who brought you Tech Nyne’s “Red Kingdom” last year are hailed to help the Chiefs beat the bills with their version of swag surfin’!”

Although the group didn’t dance to a Taylor Swift song, their name is a nod to the star’s fans, known as Swifties. This comes as the singer, 34, has been seen multiple times cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, at Chiefs games.

Swift was also seen celebrating Kelce’s touchdown in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Bills. The Grammy winner cheered loudly alongside Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Kelce also pulled off his girlfriend’s move by forming a heart with his hands after scoring a touchdown during the second quarter. “Yeah man, I had to spread the love,” he said of his reason for the move on Wednesday’s episode of his New heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast. “You always gotta spread that love, baby.”

Meanwhile, residents of Brightview White Marsh shared a TikTok video Tuesday welcoming Swift to Baltimore in hopes that she will come to town to watch her boyfriend play against the Baltimore Ravens this Sunday.

In the video, many residents of the community for the elderly gave the songwriter suggestions about activities she could do in the city.

“Taylor Swift, welcome to our great city of Baltimore. You have so much to do and see here. And while you’re here, we hope you enjoy yourself immensely,” the resident said at the beginning of the video.
