Next on Meyers’ list was Eddie Murphy’s Buckwheat, which was based on the character Billie Thomas from Hal Roach’s 1930s and ’40s short Our Gang. In third place is Colleen Rafferty, played by Kate McKinnon. In the “Close Encounters” sketches, the character was abducted by aliens and would somehow end up without pants.

Meyers put Will Forte’s MacGruber, who also appeared in his film and spinoff series, in second place, saying, “Enduring love for MacGruber. Great movie! Less than 90 minutes, check it out.”

During a conversation with Beanie Feldstein on Late Night with Seth Meyers in February, Meyers addressed televised weddings after Feldstein admitted that the character of Stefon means “everything” to me.

“I’ve been thinking about who I want for Valentine’s Day other than my wife, because it’s like, who do you really love in a very emotional way…Stefon,” Feldstein joked.

To which Meyers replied, “Look, I know him too. I only knew how to get married because I married him first. He was my downfall.”
