An explicit sex scene between Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman in their new film The Miller’s Girlfriend sparked outrage over their 31-year age difference.
In the film, Wednesday star Jenna, who is 21 in real life, plays 18-year-old student Cairo, while The Office star Martin, 52, plays her teacher Jonathan Miller.

The couple becomes embroiled in a complicated and inappropriate relationship after Jenna’s character decides to write a story about sex during class.
Viewers will soon be treated to raunchy scenes involving two Hollywood stars, which bothers many viewers – due to the age difference.
Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – the crowd went berserk as they called the film ‘gross’.
One user posted: “MARTIN FREEMAN WHAT ARE YOU DOING JENNI ORTEGA”

Another fumed: “I think I’m finally done watching these age gap movies. They’re all disgusting and I’m sick of it. No amount of Jenna Ortega or Martin Freeman could save this one,” fumed another.
A third viewer remarked: “I’m embarrassed.”
Another stated: “When Martin Freeman was in his 40s, Jenna Ortega was 10.”
A fifth user added: “That shot of Martin Freeman’s Jenna Ortega might be the worst thing I’ve ever seen.”
Speaking about the lead role in the film, Jenna previously admitted she was “taken aback” by the “risque” portrayal of a teenage girl.
She explained: “I remember receiving the script on set in Montreal and it was just this comparison email, and then I opened it up and found this horrible and beautiful, this romantic horror. This horrible story romanticized.
“I remember being taken aback by Cairo because what I experienced in my career and I think many young girls can say the same.
“I feel like teenage girls are often written in the same sassy, no-nonsense way, but Cairo is so intelligent and wise beyond her years that I was excited to explore.
“The subject of the film is a bit more risky. It’s scary to approach, but obviously as an artist you want to take risks and explore what that might be.”
