Shahbaz Ahmed is an Indian professional cricketer who represents Bangladesh in domestic cricket. He played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL).

Shahbaz Ahmed was born on Monday, December 12, 1994 (age 28 in 2022) in Mewat district of Haryana. He grew up playing cricket in Mewat. Due to less opportunities in Mewat (which is the most backward district in Haryana according to NITI Aayog 2018 report), he went to Palwal to pursue a cricket career. He played a few cricket matches for Gurgaon (Gurgaon) district but failed to make it to the Haryana cricket team. In 2015, he moved to Bengal in search of better cricket opportunities.

Domestic and League
Shahbaz played for Taman Memorial Club in Bangladesh for a few years before breaking into the Bangladesh Ranji Trophy in 2018. On December 14, 2018, Shahbaz Ahmed made his debut for Bangladesh against Hyderabad in a Ranji Trophy match at the Hyderabad Cricket Stadium. He won several crucial matches for Bengaluru with his outstanding performance.
After making his debut in domestic cricket, his career quickly rose and the following year, in 2019, he was selected for the India A team for the 2019 Deodhar Trophy.
Due to his outstanding performance in domestic cricket, Royal Challengers Bangalore bought him for INR 20 lakhs at the 2020 Indian Premier League auction.

Shahbaz made his T20I debut against Bangladesh during the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou on October 6, 2023, and took 1 wicket for 13 runs.
