Shahid was born on February 25, 1981 in Delhi, India. His friends call him different names such as Dodo, Shak and Sasha. He is also known as the Chocolate Boy of Bollywood. He has been interested in dancing and acting since childhood. His parents divorced when he was three years old, and his life was very difficult. He first appeared in a Compland commercial as a child artist, opposite actress Ayesha Takia. He started dancing at Shiamak Davar’s dance academy at the age of 15 and worked as a background dancer in several Bollywood films including “Dil To Pagal Hai” (1997) and “Taal” (1999).
