Shahid Mallya was born on August 20 in Sri Ganga Nagar, Rajasthan. He was born into a family with a musical background. He started studying music at the age of 7. His father was interested in singing and wanted to go to Mumbai, but an accident prevented him from realizing his dream. Initially, Shahid wanted to become a music professor after completing his studies and living a simple life, but his father’s incomplete wishes prompted Shahid to follow in his father’s footsteps and realize his dream. He participated in music competitions held in his school and college. He was invited to work with Punjabi Music Company but he wanted to go to Mumbai to sing in Hindi films. In order to pursue a music career, he left his hometown of Ferozepur and came to Mumbai in 2003.
