Shania Twain Rocks Bright Red Hair for Surprise Performance with Foo Fighters

The country star co-headlined the Austin City Limits festival with the Foo Fighters on Saturday and surprised fans by joining the rock band to perform “Best of You” to end the night.

Debuting bright red locks and a glittering silver ensemble with shimmering fishnets, Twain, 58, rushed off her stage to join Dave Grohl and his bandmates in the surprise collaboration.

“This was one off the bucket list for me!” Twain later wrote on Instagram alongside pictures of herself and the band. “First off thank you @foofighters for inviting me on stage – you’re all so generous and ridiculously cool.”

“I’m a big rock fan,” she added. “My first band was a rock band, my first big producer was one of the world famous rock producers, me and my son love to play 😂 Totally worth the adrenaline rush from my stage to yours Dave Grohl — you are a true friend and talent ❤️”

In a picture taken earlier in the day, Twain showed off a more polished look, wearing ripped jeans and a white T-shirt as he posed with the band backstage.

“Loved this so much! ❤️‍🔥,” Twain wrote about the whole night in a follow-up post. “My audience at @aclfestival had fun with me throughout the set and I left the stage full of incredible energy! What a journey!”

“Saturday night in Austin is no joke and I understand why they do it twice,” Twain continued. “Sorry I missed next weekend but gotta get back on the #QueenOfMeTour 😘 Special shout out to front rows for providing ATTITUDE during don’t impress 😂💅”

Other big acts at the festival on Saturday included The 1975, Alanis Morissette and Jared Leto’s band, Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Twain will remain in Texas for the next two stops on her tour, which will take place in San Antonio on October 12 and Fort Worth on October 13, with shows running through December.

The five-time Grammy winner begins her “Come On Over” Las Vegas residency in May 2024 at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for a total of 24 scheduled performances through December 2024.
