Shannon Beador was sentenced after her arrest for an alleged hit-and-run under the influence of drugs in September.
The The Real Housewives of Orange County Starr, 59, was sentenced to three years of probation and 40 hours of community service, PEOPLE confirms. He will also have to complete a nine-month alcohol program. Beador must also pay restitution for damage to the home from the incident, which she has already done.
Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer sought a stiffer sentence for the Bravo star including 30 days in jail, according to TMZ, which first reported the news.
Beador was not present at Thursday morning’s hearing, but her attorneys pleaded not guilty to one of the charges on her behalf.
Beador’s attorney, Michael L. Fell, and Spitzer did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The ruling comes less than a week after the Orange County District Attorney charged Beador with two misdemeanors. She was facing one count of DUI and one count of hit-and-run — which was dismissed during a hearing Thursday — after the incident last month.
The reality star had a blood-alcohol content of 0.24, three times the legal limit, law enforcement officials told TMZ.

The Newport Beach Police Department previously confirmed to PEOPLE that Beador “was arrested at 1:17 a.m. on Sept. 17 after fleeing the scene of a crash that caused property damage.” The reality star was ticketed for two misdemeanors — hit-and-run and DUI — and released on bond, according to the NBPD.
According to TMZ’s initial report, police found her walking her dog after allegedly leaving her car in the middle of the road. Beador’s attorney told PEOPLE in a Sept. 18 statement that his client is “ready to accept full responsibility.”
“She is very apologetic and remorseful,” Fell said at the time. “We will await official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”
That same day, Beadora’s friend and Bravo co-star Jeff Lewis addressed the situation on his SiriusXM talk show, admitting he was “shocked” and that her actions were out of character.
“Unfortunately [Shannon] got a DUI on Saturday night. She also had a car accident. She was injured, so she’s going to recover,” said Lewis, 53. “Shannon and I have been friends for a very long time. I was shocked – she called me yesterday and we talked for a while – and I was shocked because I never knew Shannon ever, ever drank and drove.”
“I will tell you that she accepts full responsibility,” he continued. – She is ashamed, she is ashamed.

The Bravo star also noted that he doesn’t believe his friend is an “alcoholic” but instead “goes through a lot of personal struggles.”
“People say, ‘Oh, she needs rehab,’ ‘Oh, she’s an alcoholic’ — I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic,” he added. “I think she’s going through a lot of personal issues at the moment and I think she’s reliant on alcohol – but I don’t think she’s an alcoholic.”
Earlier this year, Beador spoke of feeling “blindsided” after her boyfriend of three-and-a-half years, John Janssen, ended their relationship.
“I’ve never loved anyone more in my life,” Beador said in one episode RHOC. “I hoped this was the man I would spend the rest of my life with. I wanted it to work. I’ve never loved anyone the way I loved John. But obviously, he didn’t feel the same way.”

Additionally, the star was reportedly removed from a bar earlier this year after a “screaming” altercation with Janssen’s daughter. Although she later admitted to the disagreement, she vehemently denied that she had been “kicked out”.
“The lights were on [and] they were saying, ‘Everybody wrap it up,'” Beador said Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. “I wasn’t kicked out, but I asked security to help me with Uber. That was it. … I was absolutely not kicked out.”
