Sha’Vi Lewis, Project Runway Contestant, Dies at 39

Project runway Alum Sha’vi Lewis (full name Franklin ‘Shavi’ Lewis Frierson Jr.) died. He was 39 years old.

The death of a competitor in the season 18 was confirmed by his aunt Deidra Divadoll Elkerson on Tuesday, February 25, Facebook post. The family did not reveal Lewis for death. TMZ reported that he died on Monday, February 24th.

Lewis grew up in New Jersey and attended Clark Atlanta University. After graduating, he continued his fashion design and produced his own clothing line, served as a creative director of men’s clothing Stephen F and designed for Pose Season 2, as well as celebrities like Cynthia Bailey.

Lewis was a special competitor on Project runway Season 18 in 2019. He came to 10th after sending home during the sixth episode.
