She started her career in 2002 by appearing in the music video “Kaanta Laga”. The song became a hit and Shefali gained huge popularity. Later, she appeared in other music videos including Kabhi Aar Kabhi Paar Remix (2002), Maal Bhari Aahe – DJ Hot Remix (2004) and Pyar hamein kis mode pe le aaya (2006). I was in college at that time and I came from a family of academicians, so my parents told me to focus on my studies. But I want to do it because I can get paid for it. I earned Rs 7,000 from this song and I wanted to see myself on TV. My father was completely against it. So first, I had faith in my mom, and then, we both convinced my dad. That song was a huge hit and it was like a fairy tale to me. It completely changed my life. “
