He came to limelight as a guitarist and vocalist in the Pakistani music television series “Nescafé Basement Season 3” (2016), which featured live recorded musical performances by artists.
Xulfi, the show’s music producer, was impressed by his performance and invited him to join the production team for the show’s fourth season. In an interview, he said of his work:
I love being in the studio, when I came back to Karachi I was busy in the studio, when I was in Lahore I worked as an assistant producer in the basement of Nestlé, anyway I worked in the studio throughout the year and did Things I like. “
He subsequently worked as a guitarist and composed original tracks for the Pakistani television series “Battle of the Bands”. Gradually, he formed his own band “Overdose”, which was later renamed “Karakoram”. In 2018, his band released its first single “Toofan” and its second song “Raasta” nearly two years later.
Some of the music albums released by the band include Peninsula (2009), Storm Chaser (2010), Ov Shangri-La (2015), and Ailaan-e-Jang (2021).

These two guys lead the band, so obviously it’s great. Fawad’s energy during rehearsals was so high that he was a completely different person; he thought he should be doing something like playing an instrument, so it was a different experience than Fawad Khan. But, it’s great and it’s always an honor to work with a star like Fawad Khan. “
