Sheryl Crow celebrates Olivia Rodrigo.
During the performance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FallonOn Thursday, the music icon had some nice words to say about Rodrigo, calling her “a true creator.”
“She’s precious,” Crow, 61, added of the 20-year-old singer. – She is an excellent songwriter.
The nine-time Grammy winner also added that Rodrigo “seems unaffected by it all, you know?”
“She’s super cool,” the “I’ll Be Here” singer told Fallon while explaining how their collaboration came about. “[Rodrigo] she asked me to do it when she came to Nashville. So I texted her and said, ‘Hey, do you want to go to the Rock Hall with me?’ And she said: ‘I would love to, I would be honored’. ”

Crow will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Friday night alongside Kate Bush, Missy Elliott, the late George Michael, Willie Nelson, Rage Against the Machine and The Spinners.
Crow and Rodrigo last appeared on stage together in September at The Bluebird Café, an iconic Nashville venue. They performed an intimate, stripped-down cover of “If It Makes You Happy,” one of Crow’s biggest hits.
“pinch me! sang one of my favorite songs of all time with the greatest of all time @sherylcrow !!!! what an honor!!!! ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹,” Rodrigo wrote on Instagram at the time .

Crow, however, shared the post on her own Instagram Story, writing about the “Driving License” singer: “She’s really good, y’all!”
The “All I Wanna Do” singer also shared Rodrigo’s post on her main feed, writing: “The funniest day ever with the unbelievably brilliant @oliviarodrig!”
“What a talent!!” she added. “And the most beautiful young woman!”
Olivia Rodrigo will honor ‘one of her heroes’ at the 2023 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

The duo also exchanged words in March 2022 when the legendary talent presented the Disney Channel student with the Woman of the Year Award at BoardWomen in Music event.
Crow then expressed her excitement to PEOPLE.
“I’m happy to celebrate her,” the mother of two said of Rodrigo. “I think he’s going to be around for a long time. He deserves to be where he’s celebrating this moment.”
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will air live on ABC and Disney+ from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Friday, November 3 at 8:00 PM ET.
