SHINee’s KEY released the long-awaited tracklist for his second full-length album, Gasoline, on August 18 KST. The 11-track soundtrack drew attention for its overlapping ‘Lab Note’ idea and doodles, but also surprised fans of K-pop group NCT. For the single VILLAIN, the veteran K-pop star teamed up with NCT’s Jeno. Fans are understandably excited about the duo’s collaboration since SHINee’s KEY is well known for going all-in on his solo albums. They were overjoyed to learn that the famous artist collaborated with the NCT rapper on a new album. VILLAIN was also seen at KEY’s Beyond Live: GROKS solo show last year.
SHINee’s KEY has revealed the tracklist for his second full-length album, Gasoline.
Gasoline is KEY’s first solo release in over a year, following his equally explosive mini-album BAD LOVE. Considering this is the SHINee member’s second full-length album, the idol stunned fans with a uniform concept design that brought Halloween closer to them. SM Entertainment released Gasoline’s tracklist on August 18. Gasoline, Bound, Villain (featuring NCT’s JENO), Burn, Guilty Pleasure, GOAT (Greatest of All Time), I Can’t Sleep, Ain’t Gonna Dance, Another Life, Delight and Proud are among the 11 tracks on the album.
SHINee’s KEY wrote the lyrics for four of the 11 songs on the list, including the title single, Gasoline. The title track will be a confident song that compares an idol-entertainer walking his own path to the power of gasoline. The track list was scribbled on the notebook with heartbeats, science experiments, thunder, heart, fire and other symbols. The pictures matched the announcement of the vintage atmosphere that was previously released.
SHINee’s KEY often talked about his passion for nostalgia for the good old days of the 1980s and 1990s during his BAD LOVE period. His previous solo CD was also influenced by him. This time, Gasoline takes vintage science fiction one step further by playing many characters. He’s a hero, a mad scientist, an evil ruler, and what appears to be an explorer, all dressed up in vintage sci-fi settings, graphics, and performances.

What next for gasoline?
Gasoline’s originally announced schedule has question marks on August 19. Curiosity about the material is considerable, as fans have long felt that SHINee’s KEY has great potential. After announcing the secret content information tomorrow, the idol will immediately start releasing concept teaser photos on August 21st.
Benz’s concept teasers have been teasing fans with each passing day. The album will be released in three formats: VHS, Floppy Disk and Booklet. The book edition contains two covers, as well as cover-to-cover photobooks. Pre-orders for the album began on August 9, 2022. The album will be available on August 30 at 18:00 KST.
