Shiv Nadar was born on Saturday 14 July 1945 (77 years old; as of 2022) in Mulaipore, Madras District, British India (now Madeira, Tamil Nadu Sizhou). His zodiac sign is Cancer. He attended Kumbakonam town high school and then Elango Corporation high school in Madurai. In June 1955, he enrolled at the town high school until 1957. Shiv Nadar started his career in 1967 with Cooper Engineering Ltd., a Walchand group company in Pune. From there, he moved to Delhi Fabric Factory where he worked with his classmates on their marketing team. During this time, he and his friends decided to quit their jobs and develop their own product. Shiv Nadar along with Subhash Arora, Ajai Chowdhry, Yogesh Vaidya, S. Raman, Mahendra Pratap, Arjun Malhotra and DS Puri started their first company called Microcomp. The company sells remote digital calculators in the Indian market. The Foundation’s goal is to benefit future generations by providing them with access to education and a good quality of life. Out of his passion for philanthropy, Shiv Nadar founded Sri Sivasubramanium Nadar College of Engineering in 1996 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The college was named after his father who, over the years, opened several other branches of education on the campus; thus changing it into an SSN institution. In 2006, he announced that the university would work to assist students by improving and promoting research and providing other benefits to students through collaborations with foreign universities. These schools provide scholarships to more than 200 students from more than 50 districts of Uttar Pradesh. In February 2011, Shiv Nadar donated computer hardware worth Rs. 80 lakh to his alma mater, Town High School.
