Shiv Nadar was born on Saturday 14 July 1945 (77 years old; as of 2022) in Mulaipore, Madras District, British India (now Madeira, Tamil Nadu Sizhou). His zodiac sign is Cancer. He attended Kumbakonam town high school and then Elango Corporation high school in Madurai. In June 1955, he enrolled at the town high school until 1957. From there, he attended St. Joseph’s Boys’ High School in Trichy and completed his high school education. Shiv Nadar then did his pre-university degree from the American College, Madurai and then went to PSG Institute of Technology, Coimbatore to complete his graduation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Shiv Nadar started his career in 1967 with Cooper Engineering Ltd., a Walchand group company in Pune. From there, he moved to Delhi Fabric Factory where he worked with his classmates on their marketing team. During this time, he and his friends decided to quit their jobs and develop their own product. Shiv Nadar along with Subhash Arora, Ajai Chowdhry, Yogesh Vaidya, S. Raman, Mahendra Pratap, Arjun Malhotra and DS Puri started their first company called Microcomp. The company sells remote digital calculators in the Indian market. Furthermore, in 1976, the capital was Rs. They invested Rs 2 lakh in a new direction and established HCL Technologies Ltd. With the company’s success, HCL expanded its operations and entered international markets, opening its first office in Singapore, Far East Computers.
