Shiv Pandit was born on June 21, 1984 (age 39 years 2023) in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. He was educated at Doon Public School, Dehradun and graduated from Delhi Hindu College. As his father worked in the government, Shiv spent most of his childhood in various places including Nagpur, Dehradun, Karnataka and Delhi. Shiv has been interested in acting since his college days and actively participated in various stage performances and also worked as a theater artist.
Shiv is a part of various advertisements for LG, Colgate, Airtel, Tide, Sprite, etc. In 2008, he hosted the first Indian Premier League (IPL) show ‘Extraaa Innings T20’. Shiv is also a state level football player. He is the co-owner of the Chandigarh Cubs cricket team and plays in the Box Cricket League (BCL) with actress Anita Hassanandani. Shiv is the male lead in the 2016 Bollywood thriller 7 Hours To Go, which also stars Sandeepa Dhar and Varun Badola.
In 2015, Shiv played the gay protagonist in the Netflix film Loev, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, opposite Dhruv Ganesh. The film won the AT&T Audience Award at the 2016 Frameline Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the Tel Aviv Film Festival.
