Soon, she received heart treatment and had a permanent pacemaker installed in her heart. Doctors did not allow her to take dance classes because of her pacemaker. While talking to a media outlet, Shri Saini revealed that doctors advised her not to participate in sports and dance. she says,
My cardiologist at Sacred Heart saved my life. This was a huge turning point for me. I was told I couldn’t dance or play sports and it felt like my life had stopped. I thought I had to live on a machine. But I won’t let adversity stop me. “
- When Shree Saini was 15, her mother was placed on life support. Her mother was unwell. Shri Saini suffered from severe mental illness after witnessing her mother’s pain. Since then, Shree Saini has volunteered with several non-profit and charitable organizations to help those suffering from emotional and mental illnesses.
