Siddhant Sharma is an Indian rapper and music producer. He is better known by his stage name “Calm”. He is a member of the hip-hop duo “Seedhe Maut”.

Siddhant Sharma started recording rap songs while pursuing his bachelor’s degree. In August 2015, he recorded his first solo song “Invasion” and uploaded it to the music application “SoundCloud”.

He recorded his second song “Conscience” in October 2015. He made his debut at Delhi’s underground rap competition Spit Dope in 2015, where he met Abhijay Negi (Encore ABJ), who later became his partner in the duo “Seedhe Maut”. He has also worked as a producer on some of the songs of ‘Seedhe Maut’ such as ‘101’ (2019), ‘Ball’ (2020) and ‘Namastute’ (2021).

The two addressed issues such as politics, Indian society, romance and the education system in the hip-hop song. In September 2016, the duo joined YouTube and released their debut mixtape “2 Ka Pahada”, which included seven tracks including “Seedhe Maut Anthem”, “Royalty”, “Classsikh Maut” and “Hanging On” .

After releasing their debut mixtape, the duo signed with independent label Azadi Records in 2018 and released hit singles such as “Kranti” (2018), “101” (2019), “Dum Pishaach ” (2020), and “Do Guna” (2020).

Seedhe Maut released their debut album “Bayaan” in 2018, produced by “Sez on the Beat” (Music Producer), which included 12 tracks, the most notable of which include “Shaktimaan”, “Meri Baggi”, “Pankh,” and “Gold.” The album is based on the rapper’s life journey.

In 2021, the duo released another album ‘न’ which contained ten songs including ‘Namastute’, ‘Naamcheen’, ‘Nadaan’ and ‘Natkhat’. In 2022, the band released the album “Nayaab” in collaboration with “Sez On The Beat”, which contains 17 tracks. Some of the most famous tracks from the album include “Toh Kya”, “Anaadi”, “Maina”, “GODKODE”, “Batti” and “Teen Dost”. According to the rappers, the album ‘Nayaab’ is about their lives after the release of their debut album ‘Bayaan’.

In 2022, the two made guest appearances on the show “Hustle 2.0”. In the same year, they also hosted the show Red Bull Spotlight. In 2023, Seedhe Maut was seen performing at a live concert with popular rappers MC Stan and Ikka on Bigg Boss 16.

- Before forming the duo Seedhe Maut, Siddhant Sharma was known by his stage name “Calmchorr”.
- Previously, Siddhant had rapped in English, but later, he switched to Hindi as he felt that he could not realize the full potential of the foreign language. The lyrics of his song “Classikh Maut Volume 2” (2018) were the first to be written in Hindi.
- He participated in open mic events during school and college.
- In an interview, he talked about the name of his hip-hop duo with Abhijay Negi. He said the slang term “Seedhe Maut” was used by his brother in his daily life. “Sheede Maut” means “rock” or “nail.”
