In 2022, Shift Kaur Samra won the gold medal at the Youth World Cup Shooting Championship in Sur, Germany, and at the 65th National Shooting Championship in Kerala. Later, she won the gold medal at the 36th National Shooting Championships in Gujarat, India.
In August 2023, Shift Kaur Samra won the gold medal at the 31st Universiade held in Chengdu.
In September 2023, Sift Kaur Samra broke the world record by 2.6 points in the women’s 50m rifle 3P competition. She defeated Chinese player Zhang Qiongyue and won the silver medal with a total score of 469.6, including 154.6 in the kneeling position, 157.9 in the prone position, and 157.1 in the standing elimination position. Sift Kaur Samra also won a silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle 3P team event at the same Olympics.
