She studied at Cambridge Gurukul, Mumbai (also known as Cambridge International School, Mumbai) and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan International School, Borivali, Mumbai. Simi studied at NL Business School, Malad, Mumbai, pursuing a degree in Psychology. During her graduation, Simi secured second rank in college. She became interested in dance at the age of 15 after watching Meher Malik belly dance on Just Dance. Soon, she joined Veronica De Simas’s dance group “Veve” to learn belly dancing. She trained under Veronica for about three years. Later, Talsania became a member of the KOHL belly dance movement group, which was composed of core members of the group Veve.

During one of the cast’s annual events, Simi saw Tejasvi Patil (aka Tee-J) performing on stage and she instantly became a fan of Patil’s. Simi has been eager to learn dance from Tee-J since the day she watched him perform on stage, and in 2016, she approached Tejasvi to train her in the Waacking dance. Simi then trained under her for several months. Learn new and unusual techniques to help her grow as a dancer. Later, Tejasvi introduced her to Kumari Suraj (from Los Angeles, known as the “new boxing champion”).

Simi Talsania started her modeling career in 2013 by appearing in a Max Steel advertisement alongside Virat Kohli.

In 2014, Simi had the opportunity to represent India at the China Belly Dance International Dance Festival. She then participated in the dance reality TV show Dance India Dance Season 5 (2015). Simi made it to the top 30 in the show but failed to make it to the top 15. During that time, Terence Lewis and company were producing Beauty and the Beast, Disney’s first Broadway musical in India. They discovered Talsania on “Indian Dance” and invited her to audition for the musical. Simi then auditioned and was selected. She then trained under Terrence for approximately seven to eight months, which exposed her to a wealth of knowledge and experience.

The first performance of the musical was held on October 23, 2015 at the National Sports Club, Worli, India.

In 2016, she found Tejasvi Patil aka Tee-J (dancer) to train under her. Simi learned new techniques from Tee-J, which helped her win her first Whacker competition at Whacker’s Night Vol.

Later, she also won the Cypher Hours competition held in Hyderabad.

Soon, she met Kumari Suraj (an accomplished artist with expertise in Whacking) through Tee-J. At the time, Kumari was looking for hackers from India to join the dance group she had formed, House of Suraj, for the Indian dance reality show Dance+ Season 3 (2017). Tee-J recommended Simi’s name, and Simi was selected as a cast member after passing a video audition. Her team House of Suraj is a part of Punit team in the show. They made it to the top eight and were eliminated.

In the same year, she participated in the Waackfest India dance competition with Prachi Dadwal. Both reached the finals but failed to win.

She is a member of the Indian dance group Famous Family. In 2022, she appeared as a contestant on the teen reality show Roadies: A Journey to South Africa. In the show, she was paired with contestant Sohil Singh Jhuti.
