Simone Biles Celebrates Husband Jonathan Owens’ NFL Matchup with Cute ‘Game Day’ Tribute

The Olympic gold medalist, 26, shared a video of husband Jonathan Owens on her Instagram Story on Sunday, ahead of the Green Bay Packers safety game against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.

Owens, 28, could be seen in the video preparing for the match by showing off her match day outfit – a Balenciaga jumper, black trousers and a ‘Working on It’ bag – before turning and smiling for the camera.

Biles, who recently reunited with her athlete girlfriend after her gymnastics season ended, enthusiastically captioned the video, writing “GAME DAY” five times.

The professional gymnast also shared a photo of Owens’ nephew, Carter, dressed in Packers colors and wearing a foam cheese head — a staple accessory for Green Bay fans.

He was also warmly dressed in multi-layered gloves ahead of a fall NFL game.

Biles also shared a smiley mirror selfie that showed her in a white tracksuit emblazoned with Owens’ name in massive letters, as well as several photos of security in his uniform.

This post isn’t the first time Biles has supported her NFL player husband in style. Last week, the Olympian showed off a Packers-inspired manicure on her Instagram Story.

“I forgot to post earlier, so I’ve grown a little, but…” Biles captioned the video of her mismatched green and bare nails, which matched her husband’s jersey perfectly.

The star’s nail update comes after she said she missed her husband amid their long-distance relationship during the NFL season.

The couple, who married earlier this year, were forced to go long distance just a week after their wedding when Owens — who played for their hometown Houston Texans when they met — signed with the Packers in May.

The athletes – who got engaged in February 2022 after meeting on dating app Raya in March 2020 – exchanged vows at a courthouse wedding in April, before jetting off to a destination ceremony in Cabo San Lucas in May in Mexico, with loved ones.

After becoming the most decorated gymnast of all time at the World Championships earlier this month, Biles opened up about how her married life changed her perspective.

“Gymnastics is just something I come to and have the privilege of doing,” said the Olympic medalist at Today show.

She continued: “I no longer feel that it’s the end, everything and everything, like I used to feel like that. I’m going home to my husband, my dogs, my house and all the other stuff. So it feels really good.”

Biles, draped in a sparkly “Owens” necklace, also hinted at her immediate plans for fall and winter — rooting for her husband.

“It’s been a lot of fun supporting what he loves to do,” she said. “Obviously he’s in Green Bay right now so my season just ended. I’m really excited to go to Green Bay for the holidays to cheer him on.”
