Simone Biles Posts Photos of Trip to Chicago with Husband Jonathan Owens: ‘Weekend in Windy City’

Simone Biles is her husband Jonathan Owens’ “biggest cheerleader.”

On Saturday, the Olympic gymnast, 26, posted a carousel of photos on Instagram from a trip to Chicago that appeared to be from her visit last weekend to watch the Green Bay Packers play in the Packers’ first regular season game against the Chicago Bears — in which The Packers won 38-20 at Soldier Field.

“Weekend in the windy city,” Biles captioned her post.

The sweet series of images began with a sun-drenched selfie of the Olympic gold medalist, with what appeared to be Owens standing at the edge of the frame.

In another shot, the couple posed together indoors. Biles smiled into the camera with her tongue slightly sticking out as her husband leaned into her.

The couple – who tied the knot in April and celebrated with a second ceremony in Mexico in May – were also all smiles as they posed in another snap posted by Biles. In the picture, the gymnast stood on tiptoe as the couple embraced.

“My biggest cheerleader ❤️❤️,” Owens responded to the post in the comments section.

Other photos shared by the gold medalist show Biles holding a restaurant menu that read: ‘WELCOME TO F—— MAPLE & ASH! SIMONE!’, and her posing with her friends in a blurry mirror selfie.

Biles recently revealed that she is saying goodbye to her husband for six weeks. Last Sunday, she shared one of the same photos from her Saturday carousel – showing her and Owens standing outside together – on her Instagram Story, writing “see you in 6 weeks baby.”

Before attending her husband’s first season game in Chicago, Biles opened up about making her long-distance marriage work “less than a week” after tying the knot in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, when she appeared on Today show the week before.

“Right after Cab he went to Green Bay and signed and two days later he was up there, so it was different,” the Olympic gymnast told host Hoda Kotb. “At least we’re both busy and focused on our sports. It’s been nice.”

Biles added that she and Owens “cherish the moments we have together” and shared that the NFL player is “doing great in Green Bay.”

Biles, of course, also has her own career to focus on. After winning her eighth national title in California last month, the gymnast recently announced her intention to compete in the 2024 Olympics.

“Right now, I would say that’s the route I’d like to go,” Biles told Kotb, 59, on Today show earlier this month, when asked about the likelihood of her return next year. “Everything we do until the next Games is very intentional,” she added.

Despite their dedication to their sports, the couple is also focused on building their life together.

At the beginning of September, Biles published photos of the newlyweds visiting the construction site of the house that is being built for them.

“Loading… 🏠🤍🛠,” the Olympic gold medalist wrote in a simple caption.
