Simran Kaur Mundi was born on Thursday, September 13, 1990, in Mumbai (age 33; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Virgo. Soon after Simran was born, her family moved to Madhya Pradesh. Her family originates from Mundian Jattan in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Simran studied at Delhi Public School and Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya in Madhya Pradesh and went to Holkar Science College, Indore to pursue a degree in biotechnology.

After graduation, Simran returned to Mumbai and started working as a guest relations executive at Fame Cinemas in Andheri. There she worked managing bookings for film and media industry professionals. While working at Fame Cinemas, Simran came to the attention of iconic makeup artist and hairstylist duo Bharat and Dorris Godambe, who encouraged her to participate in the Femina Miss Universe India 2008 pageant. Although Simran did not have any formal modeling experience, she competed with the best models in the country and eventually won the title of ‘Miss Universe India 2008’.

Simran Kaur Mundi started her career in 2011 by participating in the gaming reality show “Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout”. The show is hosted by Shah Rukh Khan. Next, she made her debut as a host by hosting the game series Hockey India League. In 2011, she made her acting debut in the Bollywood film “Jo Hum Chahein”, in which she played the role of “Neha Kapoor”. The film received a tepid response at the box office, but Simran’s performance in the film was praised by critics. She made her Punjabi film debut in 2013 with Jippy Grewal’s film “Good Luck”. In the same year, she made her Telugu film debut opposite Manoj Manchu in the hugely successful Potugadu.
