Janelle Brown is spending her first Thanksgiving without her late son Garrison, surrounded by family.
On Thursday, November 28, Sister wives star, 55, celebrated the holiday by giving fans an inside look at her Thanksgiving celebrations with a post shared on Instagram. In the photo, Janelle and her children, Maddie, Logan and his wife Michelle, and Gabe can be seen spending time together while shopping in preparation for the holiday feast.
“Shopping with them these days definitely looks different than when they were little 😂,” she captioned the post.

The TLC star also shared a glimpse of the food they shared with a picture of the pies she made on her Instagram stories.
“Loved making pies today,” Janelle captioned the photo. – I am always glad when there is an excuse to cook for children.
This Thanksgiving was the first holiday the Brown family celebrated without Garrison, who was found dead in his Arizona home after an apparent suicide in March. He was 25 years old.

Shortly after his death, Janelle and Garrison’s father Kody Brown shared a joint statement addressing the news on their Instagram pages.
“Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful baby boy, Robert Garrison Brown,” Janelle wrote in her post. “He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a large hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. Please respect our privacy and join us in honoring his memory.”
In September, Janelle marked six months since Garrison’s death and reflected on his loss with a touching Instagram post.

“On this day 6 months ago, you left. You come to my photo memories almost every day,” she began with a photo of her son hugging her and kissing her on the cheek. “Sometimes it doesn’t seem like you’re gone. And then I remember that I won’t get a call or text from you and it all comes rushing back. I know you fought hard, but in the end you just couldn’t stay.”
“I love you very much and I will see you again when my journey is over,” she concluded her post.
