Sister Wives’ Kody Admits He Was ‘Probably a S— Husband’ but Deflects That Janelle Was ‘Not a Loyal Wife’

Janelle and Kody Brown have different opinions about their now broken marriage.

Sunday Sister Wives: Look back special saw Janelle and Kody, both 54, asked by the show’s director to relive the pair’s heated feud in season 18, which eventually led to their split. But Kody refused to watch the clip.

“F— that. I won’t watch that again. No, I won’t,” he said. “Look, I don’t want to talk about my breakup with Janelle anymore. Okay? Okay?”

“It is very painful. It’s nasty like Christina’s [breakup with me]but I didn’t want to admit the same things that were going on with me and Janelle,” he continued. “I still struggled to admit that, that Janelle and I weren’t good together.”

From there, Kody called out Janelle’s inability to be a good partner while addressing his flaws.

“She’s not a loyal wife and I’m probably a s— husband. I don’t care,” he added. – We don’t work anymore and I don’t want to talk about it anymore.

Janelle decided to watch the clip anyway. After doing so, she called her now-ex-husband an “ass” because of how he acted back then. The two argued over Janelle’s decision to stand by their children, from whom he is now estranged.

“He was very adamant to me that they needed to apologize for their behavior during COVID. Then the request, with Robyn’s encouragement, became let’s talk,” she explained. “They still come to him and basically clear the air, saying they’re sorry so they can talk.”

“I think in his perfect world, I would stand by him against my kids. And then when I don’t, he just loses his shit. Like, it’s all my fault,” she continued.

Janelle noted that the conversation between Kody and their kids “still hasn’t happened.”

“Still nothing,” she continued. “He has some kind of relationship with Garrison right now. A little. But no reconciliation, really.”

Janelle then made her feelings about Kody very clear: “I don’t want him in my life anymore.”

“It won’t be in my house,” she added. “I don’t care if I ever interact with Kody again, honestly, at this point.”

Following Christine Brown’s decision to leave the family in November 2021, Janelle announced her separation from Kody in December 2022. Kody’s first wife, Meri Brown, confirmed her separation from the father of 18 in January 2023. He is now married to only with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.
