Sister Wives' Kody Brown Has 'Got to Admit' He Does 'Need a Lot of Attention' as He Adjusts to Life After Family Turmoil

Kody Brown is adjusting to the monogamous life.

While his ex-wife Christine Brown was preparing to marry her current husband David Woolley at the latest Sister wives episode, Kody reflected on what his life looks like now, married only to Robyn Brown. In addition to Christine leaving him in 2021, his first wife Meri Brown and second wife Janelle Brown also decided to end their spiritual marriages in the months that followed.

Kody, who was preparing to cut down trees blocking the view of the mountain near his shared home with Robyn, happily declared to the cameras, “I’m monogamist now!”

“So there’s a new rule that Robyn made, and since I’m a monogamist, my wife has to make the rules, right?” Kody, 55, continued. “So she’s saying, ‘Don’t drop a tree until you’ve removed the last tree you dropped.'”

The producer, however, asked to see how she felt about Christine walking down the aisle again. “I’m really excited for her. I’ve only met David once, and all I can figure is that it moved pretty quickly, but sometimes you just know,” he said.

“I hope they are happy,” he continued. “And I hope that one day there will be a time when we will be comfortable with each other.”

Kody then noted that Christine, 52, “went with a purpose” because she “wanted to find her soulmate.” He added: “It’s weird because you know she’s my ex-wife, but it’s like it’s none of my business anymore and it’s more like an honor.”

After his three straight divorces, Kody said that now “it’s a lot of water under the bridge and it wasn’t all bad.” He then explained that he still has a “hard time” because his life in polygamy has been “mostly good.” However, the Brown family patriarch, estranged from several of his children, is shifting his focus to his future with Robyn and their children.

Sister wives‘ Meri is ‘very comfortable’ with ex Kody, but they are ‘not friends’: ‘It’s not that kind of relationship’ (Exclusive)

“It’s like it’s a really different world, the world I have with Robyn and our kids. It’s kind, it’s cozy, it’s beautiful. It’s small,” he said in the confessional, continuing to note how he’s adjusting to the new normal, “I have to admit this. I think I need a lot of attention. It was different to be in a place where I don’t get that much attention.”

“But my children will always be my children and the door will always be open for them. They have to walk through that door,” he said. “I’m going to reach out for that, but I’m going to hold this hand that’s next to me, and I’m not going to let go of that hand. I’m not going to cut Robyn off so that we can have a relationship with our children.”
