Sister Wives: Kody Brown Refuses to Be Punished by His Kids 'for a Crime I Did Not Commit' Besides Not Being 'Madly in Love' with Their Moms

Kody Brown is setting the record straight on what he believes his kids resent.

During the latest episode Sister wives that aired on Sunday, October 6, Kody and Robyn Brown got into a heated argument before the cameras arrived, leading to Kody getting into his car and driving off on his own.

As for how the exchange started, Robyn explained, “I put pressure on Cody to work on his relationships with his kids and it triggered and upset him.”

In the confessional, Kody shares his perspective on the situation. “What happened is in divorce – in divorces – the ugly finger of guilt came out. ‘Dad, you were never in my house,'” he said. “I’m sorry, I’ve had four wives. I was in your house after all, because another woman complained about me being in your house.”

After his ride, the couple found themselves outside to continue their conversation in a calmer tone.

“I just don’t know why you don’t talk to them anymore,” Robyn stressed to Kody about her children, adding that “they are suffering.” Kody then recalled a recent family wedding where some of his children avoided talking to him, insinuating that they were the ones who didn’t want a relationship with him.

“They’re deliberately leaving me out of their lives to punish me for a crime I didn’t commit,” Robyn said. “My only fault is that I didn’t fall madly in love with their mothers.”

“It is unrealistic to expect grandparents to be in their grandchildren’s lives all the time,” he said on camera during his confession. “Especially if you move your kids to a completely different coast.”

The focus then shifted to Janelle’s daughter, Madison, as Kody claimed, “Every time I talk to her, she’s spreading gossip about me to the rest of the family.” He added: “Our family was killed by gossip.”

Janelle chimed in during the confessional, denying Kody’s statement. “Cody has this story about Madison where she’s such a gossip, but he’s a big gossip,” she said.

Back in the scene, Kody tells Robyn, “I’m going to work, I’m going to reach out, I’m going to love those kids that will let me. And in time, maybe the others will come back.”
