She then tells Maddie, 28, that she’s not sure what will happen to the family’s shared Coyote Pass property in Flagstaff, Arizona.
“It hasn’t been repaid yet. The bill is due in about six months,” she admits. “They keep asking your dad, and he says, ‘I’m not going to do a ‘do blah’ plan.”
Janelle then explains how the property was divided amid the breakdown of Kody’s marriages to his sisters Meri, Janelle and Christine. He remains married to Robyn.
“So the first lot of two mornings right now is Kody and me. Second installment of two mornings we are Kody and Robyn. The third lot is four acres and it’s Meri, me and Kody,” he says as a diagram of the property is shown. “And then, the five-acre lot, because Christine quit, claiming it was Kody and Robyn. Robyn has her own house. Christine had her own house. Meri did the work, but did not use the family money. She built it herself.”

“So, she and I are both like that, which is essentially the only value we would take from marriage,” he adds.
When Maddie asks what happens if the bill isn’t paid, Janelle explains that the seller can technically withdraw the entire purchase, which she calls “idiotic.” However, she hopes Kody will pay it forward, saying, “I’m sure your dad will want to pay it off, right?” but Maddie looks unsure.
In the confessional, Janelle explains: “I mean, that’s how it’s written. The rest of our assets are collateral for the proxy. It’s crazy to me that Kody isn’t taking this more seriously.”
Kody then says that Janelle questions him about the property “all the time,” adding, “But I don’t trust her anymore, so I’m not giving her any information.”
“We’ll pay off the property when the time is right and I’m not going to give you any details about what I’m doing or anything because I’m tired of revealing information that goes through the gossip mill of our broken family,” he concludes. .
