Sister Wives’ Robyn Faces a ‘Rotten’ Moment with Kody as She’s Called ‘Selfish’ in Her Relationship with Meri

Robyn Brown managed to anger not only her husband, Kody Brown, but also her ex-sister’s wife, Meri Brown.

Final part on Friday Sister wives answer special replayed some of the highs and lows of season 18. In a clip from the finale, Robyn joked with Meri that “you never know if Kody and I are going to end up together,” resulting in both women laughing at the possibility.

And although Robyn (45) then apologized for her comments, her 54-year-old husband remained displeased.

As Kody sat seemingly emotionless as he slumped onto the couch, Robyn made a nervous face as she tried to monitor her spouse’s reaction out of the corner of her eye. Placing her hand on Kody’s thigh, Robyn admitted how “that was really messed up” of her. But Kody looked at her and turned away.

“We have no idea what the future holds,” said Robyn, who also noted in a flashback that she got “tired” of “constantly” hooking up with Kody during family feuds.

Responding to the clip, Janelle Brown — who ended her own marriage to Kody last year — noted that Robyn “will get half or more of what Kody has if they divorce” because they’re legally married. Kody was only spiritually married to his three ex-wives, although Meri legally divorced Kody in 2014 so he could officially marry Robyn and adopt her children. (Third wife Christine Brown left her spiritual marriage to Kody in November 2021, causing a 14-month “domino effect” that left Robyn as Kody’s only remaining wife.)

Elsewhere in the episode, Meri and her best friend Jenn Sullivan talked about their frustrations with Robyn, who was shown crying when Meri decided not to renew her lease in Arizona and end her marriage to Kody.

Not understanding “why it matters” and why Robyn was “so upset” about Mera’s decision, Jenn said, “You’re trying to build a relationship [with Robyn] and every time you try, you’re always disappointed.”

Meri—who had already spoken about her friendship problems with Robyn—seemed upset as she looked down. But she agreed with her pal, who also added that Robyn’s hope of reuniting the extended family was “a bit selfish”.

“Even though she wanted it, there was nothing for you,” Jenn said. “So I’m really struggling with that. She’s entitled to her feelings, but I’m just struggling with her being upset that you’re doing something good for yourself.”

To which Meri said: “I guess she has a lot of mixed emotions about it. Honestly, I think she wants me to be happy and she also wants it to involve her and the family. I have no doubt she has a lot of mixed feelings about it.”
