He alleged that the BJP was trying to destabilize the political arena through personal attacks on local leaders through its workers. However, the BJP leader later responded that the plan was hatched by the People’s Democratic Party and lodged a police complaint against Sivaji.
TV9 fraud case
In 2019, he was named as a co-conspirator in the TV9 forgery case involving TV9 CEO V Ravi Prakash and CFO KVN Murthy. They were accused of committing fraud in the purchase of 40,000 TV9 shares worth Rs 20 lakh.
