early life
As a child, Snehir Mehra was a very bright student. As a student, she received formal training in dancing and singing. As a child, she wanted to be a journalist and often practiced her speaking skills in front of the mirror at home. Later, she expressed her desire to become a news anchor to her father, but he refused and sent her to Bhopal to pursue an engineering degree. In an interview with a media outlet, Snehil Mehra recalled her childhood memories. she says,
I wanted to do something creative my whole life, so I told my dad I wanted to be a journalist. He refused, “Jhola leke kaha kaha jaogi?”
In the same conversation, she went on to say that her mother tried to help her pursue a career in journalism, but all was in vain. Later, after completing her engineering degree, she got a job offer from an IT company. Before joining the job, she went to her brother’s house in Mumbai for a month where she interned at a news channel, which she loved so much that she decided to live in Mumbai to pursue her career in media technology. A month ago, I went to Mumbai to visit my brother. Just for fun, I interned at a news channel; I loved it so much that I didn’t go back. I was happy when my company fired me. I told my dad that I wanted to live in Mumbai. “

In Mumbai, she joined CNBC Awaaz as an intern with a salary of Rs. 200 per day. Later, she changed jobs and joined the entertainment website “Movie Business”. After a few months, she quit her job at the Business of Cinema and started working as a producer at a production company. She later rose to the position of creative director, writing numerous drama scripts and creating content for the production company.
