Snehlata Panday (1934-2021) was an Indian physician, physician and nutritionist with over 30 years of experience in the field of fitness and nutrition. Apart from this, she is also known for being the wife of Sharad Pandey and the mother of Bollywood actors Thicki Pandey and Chiqui Pandey. She died in Mumbai on July 10, 2021, at the age of 87, after a long illness.

Her husband Sharad Panday (1934-2004) was an Indian cardiac surgeon and one of the surgeons who performed the country’s first heart transplant in 1968 at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College, Mumbai. Sharad Pandey passed away at his home in Mumbai on November 8, 2004, at the age of 70.
The couple has two sons: Chunky Panday and Chikki Panday. Sharad’s son Chunky Pandey is a veteran Indian actor and businessman who mainly appears in Hindi and Bangladeshi films. Chikki Panday is an Indian businessman and co-founder of the Akshara Art and Learning Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the education of underprivileged children. Chikki is a member of the Steel Consumer Council and the Telephone Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology of India.

When Dr. Snehlata Panday began her career, she observed that only 20% of patients requiring medical assistance were actually unwell, while the remaining 80% had medical problems that were almost always related to weight. After visiting several weight loss centers in many countries, Dr. Snehlata Panday co-founded Slimelle, a beauty salon and weight loss center in Mumbai on August 1, 1974. At Slimelle, Snehlata works as a weight loss consultant and gynecologist and provides services to several women. Socialites and Bollywood celebrities in Bandra include Rekha, Babita Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan, Meenakshi Sheshadri, Madhuri Dixit, Hema Malini and Vinod Khanna. Over the years, Dr. Pandey has gained expertise in many complementary medicine disciplines, including yoga, acupressure, Reiki and hypnosis. She has written numerous articles for various newspapers and magazines, besides appearing on numerous television programs and discussion shows in India and abroad. She received many job offers from abroad but continued to practice in Mumbai.

I used to wear these cute clothes and that’s why today when I go shopping I usually buy women’s clothes and the store owner asks me if this is for my wife or my daughter and I say, this is for me. “
- She created a special “Rekha Diet” and introduced Rekha to aerobic exercise and healthy eating, resulting in Rekha’s signature body transformation.
- After Snehlata’s death, her granddaughter Ananya Panday wrote a note and shared it on her Instagram post and said;
