Snoop Dogg is going to Paris! NBC announced Sunday night that the rapper-turned-media personality will join the network in France for the 2024 Summer Olympics, where he will help cover the event. “The global megastar will be on site in Paris providing regular coverage of the Olympic Primetime Show beginning July 26, 2024, on NBC and Peacock,” NBC said in a press release.
Snoop, 52, will chime in with NBC Olympics host Mike Tirica and will also cover various events during the Olympics.
“They will explore the city’s iconic landmarks, attend Olympic competitions and events, and visit with the athletes, their friends and families,” the network said.

“I grew up watching the Olympics and I’m thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris. It’s a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness,” Snoop said in a statement.
“We’re going to have some amazing contests and, of course, I’m going to bring that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned and keep it locked. Let’s elevate, celebrate and make these games memorable, smoke the competition and let the best shine like gold. Peace and Olympic LOVE, do you know?”
Snoop previously teamed up with actor Kevin Hart to help provide coverage during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with their flagship show airing on the Peacock.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper’s performance as host and emcee at past Olympics helped him land a similar spot for this summer’s games, NBC Olympic Productions president and executive producer Molly Solomon said in a statement. “That performance alone earned Stalker the job of our special correspondent in Paris,” Solomon said. “We don’t know what the hell is going to happen every day, but we do know he’ll add his unique perspective to our reimagined Olympic primetime show.”

NBC first broke the news during its Sunday night football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings.
Snoop has already filmed segments with several Team USA athletes, including gymnast Suni Lee, basketball star A’ja Wilson, skateboarder Jagger Eaton and beach volleyball duo Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes. Next summer’s Olympic Games will be the third time that Paris will host the Olympic Games, having previously done so in 1900 and 1924. “The organizers of Paris 2024 are reimagining the Games to make them more accessible to the public and to present their city to the world,” NBC said. “First, the competitions will be held in the middle of iconic Parisian landmarks – beach volleyball at the Eiffel Tower, horse riding at the Palace of Versailles and urban sports at the Place de la Concorde.”
