Somjana faced financial instability during his college years, so he found part-time jobs repairing mobile phones and computers, which paid between 50 and 100 rupees. With his skills and proficiency, he earned the titles “Mobile Ninja” and “Computer Ninja” among his friends. After saving around INR 20,000, he bought a 12th-hand laptop from eBay to learn HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, etc. He then started offering basic coding services to people for free, and over a period of time people started paying him for his work. In 2008, he dropped out of college and moved back to his hometown because he had no money to pay for dormitories.

Soamjena started his first company “QubeSys” in 2008 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and registered it in 2009. He started the company based on his interest in coding. It is an IT company specializing in website design, application development, e-commerce and YouTube consulting. QubeSys is currently headquartered in Dubai. In 2010, he started a media company ‘Photozone’ in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It specializes in wedding videos, corporate videos, and aerial videos. The impetus for starting the company came from his interest in creating content and his passion for photography. Photozone has worked with brands such as Audi, Mercedes, Budweiser, Maruti Suzuki, etc. In 2014, he founded the online store SBK Store, also known as Superbike Store. It is a one-stop shopping center for riders who need cycling gear, bike parts, helmets, apparel and other accessories. In 2015, he started JetSpot, an Internet service provider company in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, because he was fascinated by Cisco Gear and how the Internet worked.

Soamjena’s constant desire to set up his own small DC (data center) and host global customers led him to launch JetCloud in 2017, Odisha’s first data center to provide powerful, scalable and Safe solution. In 2018, he opened his own merchandise store, Mystock.
YouTube
In 2018, he started his own YouTube channel SOAMJENA. As of September 2023, he has 430,000 subscribers on YouTube. He uploads daily life vlogs, finance vlogs, premium bike and car vlogs, travel vlogs, and trading vlogs. In 2020, he started another YouTube channel Odiatoka, a daily vlogging channel in Odia language to show the Odia community what he does and how to do it.

- In 2013, Somina got his first bike, a Harley-Davidson 48, which ignited his passion for bicycles.
- He planned all his travels a year before his execution and took three road trips a year. Each road trip is at least 2,000 to 3,000 miles. He likes to travel alone.
