Sonoya Mizuno is a member of the House of the Dragon ensemble on HBO. Descendants of the Dragon, the first episode, aired on August 21, 2022, introduced Mizuno as a sex worker.
Mizuno’s character Mysaria is described by HBO as follows:
“Strong-willed and clever, Mysaria is a pleasure house maid and a loyal friend to Prince Daemon.”
The story of the Targaryen dynasty, which played a key role in the Game of Thrones series thanks to the rise and fall of Daenerys Targaryen, is told in the House of the Dragon. The story takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and 172 years before the birth of Daenerys. The program is a spin-off of the Game of Thrones series and is based on the novels by George RR Martin.

Sonoya Mizuno alias Mysaria can be found in House of the Dragon.
Sonoya Mizuno is a British actress, model and ballet dancer of Japanese descent who appeared in House of the Dragon as Mysaria, a sex worker. Mizuno made her film debut in Alex Garland’s Ex Machina in 2014. She has acted in films such as High Strung, Beauty and the Beast, La La Land and Crazy Rich Asians as a supporting actress. Mizuno starred in Joji Fukunaga’s Cary Maniac and Garland’s FX drama Devs.
Mizuno’s character in Dragon House comes from a lower-class household and works as a sex prostitute in one of Westeros’ brothels. Despite the fact that the first episode of the series has yet to air, the relationship between Mysaria and Daemon Targaryen is thoroughly established.

In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Mizuno defined Mysaria as a lady who became a lone warrior herself. She also noted that her character in the series is not the same as the one in the novels.
She stated:
“My character is significantly different from the character in the book. For both me and the director, this is liberating and challenging. It was liberating in the sense that we had more freedom, but it also required a certain structure.”
Mizuno highlighted the series’ portrayal of universal emotions, saying:
“Her journey had a very human feel to it. It felt extremely realistic in terms of being a woman in your 20s and 30s and learning to do what you want, not to please others, and to recognize where your true power lies, not where you thought it was when you were 22.”
Rhaenyra is crowned as queen-designate of the Iron Throne at the end of the first episode. Daemon Targaryen, who is shown visiting his dragon and leaving with Mysario, is irritated by this. It is not clear how the character of Mysaria will develop after the second episode, The Rogue Prince, which hints at a rebellion on Daemon’s side in retaliation for being denied the throne. On Sunday, August 28, ET/6 PM, new episodes of House of the Dragon will be available on HBO and HBO Max. The first episode is now available on Disney+ Hotstar in India.
