Sophia Bush starts again.

Two months after splitting from husband Grant Hughes, the 41-year-old actress is spending time with professional soccer player Ashlyn Harris, PEOPLE can exclusively confirm.

“After being friends for years and running in the same social circles, Sophia and Ashlyn went out for their first dinner a few weeks ago,” a source from their social circle told PEOPLE. “It’s so recent and they’re both starting new chapters.”

In September, Harris (37) filed for divorce from her husband and fellow football professional, Ali Krieger (38), with whom she shares two children.

“Although this is new information to the public, Ashlyn and Ali’s divorce began a few months ago and have been living apart since the summer,” says the insider.

The source believes there is “no salacious story” when it comes to Bush and Harris’ recent relationship, “although the public may wish there was.”

Representatives for Bush and Harris did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Sophia Bush and ex Grant Hughes are both asking the court to waive spousal support in the divorce

In August, PEOPLE exclusively confirmed that Bush and Hughes, 42, had split after 13 months of marriage.

“Sophia and Grant have been friends for 10 years and bonded during COVID through their love of community service,” a source close to the couple said at the time. “They continue to run their nonprofit together and remain good friends.”
