Sophie Ecclestone was born on Thursday, May 6, 1999, in Chester, Cheshire, England (24 years old; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She joined Alvanley Cricket Club when she was 7 years old. Ecclestone went through the under-13s, 15s and under-17s before making her debut for Cheshire Women’s County in 2013. On 8 October 2016, she made her ODI debut against the West Indies Women at Trelawney Stadium in Jamaica during the England women’s tour of the West Indies. She played an important role in the team’s victory. She made her debut on 9 November 2017 in the 2017/18 Women’s Ashes Cup match against Australia Women at North Sydney Oval, Sydney. In 2017, Ecclestone was named Lancashire Cricket Board Young Player of the Year. She was selected in the England squad for the 2018 ICC Women’s World Twenty20. In the same year, the European Cricket Council named her in England’s squad for the first match against Australia in the Women’s Ashes Cup. In January 2020, she was named in England’s squad for the 2020 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
