A COCAINE LOVE butchered a young mother by stabbing her 45 times in a bloodbath in her own home after she rejected him, a court heard.
The High Court in Edinburgh heard that cocaine addict Michael Porchetta stabbed Aimee Cannon at least 45 times in the neck, chest, abdomen and also subjected her to ‘multiple clean cuts’ to her scalp and defensive cuts to her arms.

The 28-year-old allegedly left his bloody victim lying on the floor of his home in West Calder, West Lothian with his head resting on his children’s toys.
A graphic video of beautician Aimee’s body in a flat was shown to the court, prompting gasps and tears from family and friends in the public gallery.
A ‘One Life One Chance’ tattoo on her body was visible during the harrowing walk through the blood-spattered house after her death in May 2022.
Aimee, 26, was discovered by her dad Vince when he came to her home the next day and the alarm went off.
Porchetta, who lived nearby, spent three days denying anything to do with the death before his sister, who found blood on his jeans, told him to go to the police, the court heard.
Porchetta is accused of murdering mother-of-two Aimee by punching and stabbing her “with a knife or knives to the head and body”.
He was further accused of stealing Aimeen’s phone, keys and underwear and of attempting to pervert justice by discarding the blade and washing her blood off his trainers.
But Porchetta was deemed unfit to stand trial and instead faced a fact-finding hearing this week before Mr Justice Lord Mulholland.
The evidence agreed between the prosecution and the defense was read out by Deputy Solicitor John McElroy KC.
He said: “An autopsy concluded that the deceased died of multiple blunt force injuries.

“She had at least 45 stab wounds and multiple clean cuts on her scalp and both arms.”
A video captured by crime scene officers sent one woman running from the public gallery as others cried. Porchetta was looking at the ground and not watching the tape.
Coroner Laura Wilcock told the court: “The body of the deceased was found with her head lying on the children’s toys.”
The court heard Porchetta stayed with his uncle Roberto Nicollo, 59, and sister Gabriella, 29, after their parents died.
He told the court his nephew returned home at 7am on Saturday 7 May.
He said: “I asked him how he spent the night. He said ‘yes, it was fine’ and went upstairs.
“He changed and went to work.”
The court heard Porchetta returned home at around 5pm and ate dinner before the woman arrived and went to his room.
On Sunday afternoon he went to see Mr. Nicoll while he was gardening.
The witness said in his testimony: “Michael came out to see me, he seemed upset.”
“He told me ‘a girl was killed up in the street. My friends told me.’
“Michael said he was at her house on Friday night.
“He always went there. He said he was on drugs. He then said his friends called him and told him Aimee had been stabbed.”
Sister Garbriella, 29, a deputy head nurse, told the court she smelled what she thought was blood on Porchetta’s jeans on Saturday when she went to wash them.
She said: “I asked Michael where he was coming from and he said he had cut his thumb after catching it on a barbed wire fence.
“He also said he was at Aimee’s home on Friday night but left around midnight.
“He denied doing anything to Aimee.”
Gabriella added that the family was worried about his cocaine abuse.
She said: “Michael said he had to stop because he was getting fucked in the head.”
Uncle Robert Nicoll told KC defense Gary Allan: “He was always asking me for money.”
Mr Allan said: “Did you find out that he used cocaine regularly?”
The witness said, “Yes.”
The lawyer asked, “Has it become a problem in the family?”
The witness answered: “Yes”.
The hearing this week heard how Porchetta again told his sister he had left Aimee ‘safe and sound’.
But she called the police and told him he had to talk to them.
Further witnesses described to the court how Porchetta had ‘tried it out’ with Aimee, but she rejected him and said he was ‘just my little friend’.
Alistair Wilson, 28, said: “Aimee once told me Michael hit on her but she told him they were just friends.”
Robert Aitken, 30, added: “Mikey tried it on her two months before she died.”
A third witness, John Honeyman, 33, said Aimee contacted him to try to get Porchetta to leave her house in the months before the murder.
He said: “She seemed anxious, agitated and upset. In a panic.”
The hearing continues.
