Stanley Tucci’s 5 Kids: Everything to Know

Stanley Tucci is a family man through and through.

The devil wears Prada the star is the proud father of five children. Tucci shares his three oldest children with his late wife Kate Tucci, who died of breast cancer in 2009: twins Isabel and Nicolo, 24, and daughter Camilla, 21. After marrying in October 2012, Tucci and Felicity Blunt had have two children: Matteo, 9, and Emilia, 5.

Although the couple has welcomed children of their own, Tucci has already spoken about how his wife initially took on the role of stepmother and stepmother to his three oldest children during an interview in August 2017. Guard.

“It’s not easy to find someone to take on three teenagers and a widower,” he said. “It’s a lot. But she was ready to accept that challenge. She takes care of the children as if they were her own, and being a stepmother is a difficult role.”

Isabel Concetta Tucci and Nicolo Robert Tucci, 24

Identical twins Isabel Concetta Tucci and Nicolo Robert Tucci were born on January 21, 2000 in New York to Tucci and his late wife Kate. Both twins have mostly stayed out of the limelight and rarely appeared in public with their famous dad.

Nicolo did try his hand at acting. He appeared as the character Max in a 2019 episode of the mini-series Mother FatherSon — starring Richard Gere.

Tucci has also spoken extensively about his children in several interviews.

During an interview with Reuters in September 2010, he talked about his children’s sense of humor. “I joke with my kids… We laugh a lot,” he said, later describing Isabel, Nicolo and Camilla as “great kids.”

He added: “They are amazing. And they’re all really funny. Thank God.”

Hunger Games the star also shared that his children were not very interested in his career.

“My kids don’t really like watching me in movies,” he said. “They just want me to be me.”

Tucci welcomed his third child with his late wife Kate, daughter Camilla Tucci, in 2002. As with his other children, Tucci spoke little about Camilla and raised her out of the spotlight.

During the interview in January 2010, s San Diego Union-TribuneTucci shared his children’s reactions to his role as serial killer George Harvey in 2009. Nice bones.

“They saw me dressed as Mr. Harvey,” he explained of his three oldest children, who were on set when he made the movie. “They were like, ‘Ooooo. It’s really disgusting.’”

He also shared how he explained the dark nature of the film to them. “I just say, ‘And then the girl dies and I’m the person who kills her.’ They’ll say, ‘Why did you kill her, Dad?’ and I’ll say, ‘Because he’s a very sick person. Okay, let’s go eat,'” he said.

“They don’t really like watching movies with me in them anyway. I think because I’m their father they just want me to be me,” Tucci continued, adding of Camilla, “When I was the villain in Kit Kittredgemy youngest daughter got very angry with me.”

Camilla was only 7 years old when her mother died of cancer. In an interview with NPR at the time, Tucci spoke about his family’s grief.

“I’m sad for Kate that she can’t be here, and I’m sad for my kids that they didn’t get to spend more time with her because she was an amazing person,” he said.

More than two years after Tucci and Blunt tied the knot, a source confirmed to PEOPLE that the couple is expecting their first child together — Tucci’s fourth. Matteo Oliver Tucci was born on January 25, 2015.

“I believe he is mine. We’re all thrilled to welcome him into this cold, cruel world,” Tucci joked to PEOPLE, adding, “We’re all thrilled that he’s here and healthy.”

For Tucci, it was important to keep some of the family traditions he and his late wife had set up for their children for his first child with Blunt. During his interview in 2017 Guard, talked about one specific daily ritual, explaining: “Raising our own children, with my wife Kate, we sat down to dinner every night together. We both loved to cook.”

“Whenever we traveled for work, we would always get a place with a kitchen so we could cook,” he said. “Now, my [second] wife, Felicity Blunt, and I continue to do so with the children and our two-year-old son Matteo. Food has become a kind of obsession for me, but it is more than that, it is another limb or organ, it is a part of who I am.”

“It is important that you eat together; nothing is as bonding or healing,” he added.

The actor also opened up about parenting in his 50s. He explained: “Fatherhood [this time around] it’s great with our little son, although it’s a little harder when you bend over to pick him up. You’re like, ‘oh, f…!’ It was very different 17 years ago! But now you know where to invest your energy, whereas when you were younger you didn’t. I’m much calmer these days.”

During an appearance on the site in May 2020 The Graham Norton ShowTucci said his then five-year-old son adopted “posh” manners.

“We don’t know why he’s so fancy,” Tucci said of Matteo. “My wife is not very fancy, she speaks eloquently. I just don’t get it.”

He went on to tell the story of when Matteo couldn’t find one of his toys in his playroom. “He said [in a British accent], ‘I mean… It couldn’t just disappear.’ Who says that?! He was 4 years old,” Tucci joked.

In March 2018, Tucci and Blunt said they were expecting their second child together. Their daughter Emilia Giovanna Tucci was born on April 19, 2018.

“I hope she has her mother’s looks and brains and one of my better personalities,” Tucci joked to PEOPLE.

In a May 2020 essay for Atlantic, Tucci wrote about life with his children during the quarantine period of the pandemic at their home in London. At the time, he was in quarantine with his wife, five children and a school friend of one of his oldest children who could not travel back abroad.

“Cramming all these people of different personalities, ages, needs, wants, etc. in a house for six weeks creates an interesting dynamic,” he said. “Things have been going well for the most part, which means no one has killed anyone yet, although I’m sure one of them is plotting my death as I write this.”
