They’re one of Albert Square’s long-running couples, but Kat Slater and Alfie’s steamy kitchen has been noted as one of the hottest sex scenes in soapland.
The pair weren’t dating at the time, but their romance wasn’t easy as Alfie dated Kat’s sister Little Mo but was unlucky not to end up with either of the Slater siblings.
Kat and Alfie’s steamy scene saw the pair half-naked on the kitchen table, during their early evening appointment – which sent shockwaves through viewers.
At the time, a BBC spokesperson admitted: “We want to make it as exciting and realistic as possible.
“We put this burning story to get people talking about the show again.
“We haven’t had the best 12 months and we’ll go for it.”
They added: “In true Kat style, Alfie will be left after their explosive sex. It will knock him for six.
“Then a few hours later another bomb will hit him. Because little Mo says she can’t go on either.”

This next steamy scene was so raunchy that it was actually cut before ITV could air it for all the eager Coronation fans to see.
Rosie Webster, played by Helen Flanagan, flashed boss Luke Strong. However, the suggestive scene was actually cut from the show, meaning Corrie fans never actually saw it on TV.
In another scene for Rosie, she showed off her curves and toned figure as she tried (and failed) to seduce Tony Gordon wearing a corset and straps.
