News about Stephanie Connell

Two teams traveled to Kings Lynn Antique Center in Norfolk for today’s episode of Bargain Hunt, which was broadcast on BBC 2. The Reds, a team consisting of company directors James and Zoe, took on Blues, Pradeep and Sunita .

Both teams walked away with £300 thanks to presenter Charlie Ross, who challenged the Red Team to buy anything you “found in the bedroom” and tasked their rivals with finding something in the dining room. James and Zoe had access to the expert Raj and Steph was with Pradeep and Sunita.

The Blue Team’s expedition was not successful, as they ended up recording a loss on every item they purchased. They met their “dining room challenge” by investing £50 in a Picquot silver tea set, which they later sold for $35.

Their main purchase was a gold and sapphire ring that was mistakenly presented to them as a diamond. The stones were later found to consist of cubic zirconia, a man-made stone that is much cheaper than diamonds; they were originally bought for £75 and sold for £32.

After suffering £12 losses to the Whitefriars glass jug and another £15 loss, the Blues ended up in the red. A further purchase from expert Steph, a Derby plate with an Imari pattern, sold for £20.

The Blues provided the real drama of the show when they briefly discussed the purchase of a five-stone garnet ring, but ultimately decided against it in favor of a sapphire ring. The garnet ring was later acquired by the Reds team and eventually sold for a staggering £270 after being bought for just £80.

The brass-bottomed bedroom light that James and Zoe eventually decided to buy sold for £10 after being bought for twice that amount. Their subsequent purchase, a glass pitcher and dinnerware set, also resulted in a loss to them; it sold for £12 instead of the original price of $25.

The garnet ring, for its part, continued to grow and emerged as a true champion. Also, expert Raj was sent on an “additional purchase” and returned with a $25 boxwood and ebony chess set that he had purchased.
