Assistant District Attorney Alex Cabot is ready for her up close, Your Honor.
Law and Order: Special Victims UnitStephanie March spoke with PEOPLE at the show’s 25th anniversary celebration in New York City on Tuesday night and says she would love to play the beloved ADA one more time.
“I mean, I wouldn’t say no to an opportunity and cash prizes! Yes!” March said when asked if she would ever return to the Mariska Hargitay-hosted series.

The actress played assistant Alex Cabot beginning in 2000 in the second season of the long-running NBC series, where she remained for the next three years.
She continued to return for guest appearances in numerous subsequent seasons — though fans haven’t seen her since the drama’s 19th season in 2018.
While speaking to PEOPLE at the bash, March was dressed in a sparkly royal blue suit — a look she called, “Alex Cabot, calling!”

March added that her favorite part of participating in such an institution of the show was the moments of celebration, just like that night.
“I just passed Dann [Florek] and I haven’t seen it in a couple of years, so I’m really excited about it. And Ice and Coco? It’s a good reunion,” she said.
Florek played SVU Captain Donald Cragen for the show’s first 15 seasons before his character retired, handing the reigns to Olivia Benson (Hargitay). And, similar to March, Ice-T has been playing Fin Tutuola since joining ALL for the second season of 2000.

For the series’ enduring success and impact, March ultimately credits real-life crime and people like Hargitay who work so hard to bring survivors’ stories to life.
“Unfortunately, [the show] was ripped from the title. So I think people can relate to a lot of what’s on the show in terms of content,” says March. “And I have to say, I think the main actors are great, and I have so much admiration and love for them.”
