Speaking about the role, Vinette Robinson, who plays Carly, told the BBC: “For Carly, the idea of Point North had been a dream for a long time and she was unexpectedly given the opportunity to pursue it. It’s infused with her love, in the only way she knows how to show it, and it’s food. It’s something that was a deep and emotional experience for her growing up, so that’s what she represents. Point North is like an ode to her childhood, a menu, where she comes from the places she lived.”

Stephen added that it was “one of the best things I’ve been a part of”. The star previously spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the impact the film has had on people, explaining: “I went to an event recently and there was a private chef. And as I walked in the door, he said, ‘Oh my God.’
“So I asked him if he’d seen Boiling Point. And he said, ‘You don’t understand, this movie changed my life. I used to be like that. That was me. I lived my life there and it made me realize — it helped me is to change my path.’ And he was really lovely and really sweet. And he must be brilliant because he’s a private chef and his food was delicious. But he said it really resonated with him.”
