Speaking to The Graham Norton Show, Stephen, who produces the series, explained: “There’s not enough working-class drama on our screens and with our own production company we’re in a position to make it happen. Stephen added that it was “one of the best things I’ve been a part of”. The star previously spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the impact the film has had on people, explaining: “I went to an event recently and there was a private chef. And as I walked in the door, he said, ‘Oh my God.’
“So I asked him if he’d seen Boiling Point. And he said, ‘You don’t understand, this movie changed my life. I used to be like that. That was me. I lived my life there and it made me realize — it helped me is to change my path.’ And he was really lovely and really sweet. And he must be brilliant because he’s a private chef and his food was delicious. But he said it really resonated with him.”
When is the air date of Boiling Point?
