Stephen Boss, better known as tWitch, (1982–2022) was an American freestyle hip-hop dancer, choreographer, actor, television producer, and television personality. He is popular as a contestant-turned-judge on the Fox TV dance competition television show So You Think You Can Dance. In 2014, Boss joined The Ellen DeGeneres Show as a guest DJ and eventually became a permanent fixture on the series. He later co-officiated a Disney fairytale wedding with his wife, Allison Holker. On December 13, 2022, Stephen Boss committed suicide in a Los Angeles hotel room.

In Season 3 of the Fox TV dance competition television show So You Think You Can Dance (2005), tWitch was defeated by Japanese breakdancer Tou Kobei and failed to make it into the top 20. The following season of SYTYCD, he placed second behind hip-hop dancer Joshua Allen. During Season 4 of SYTYCD, he performed a dance with Katee Shean, a contemporary work of Duffy’s song “Mercy”, choreographed by Mia Michaels. The dance was nominated for a 2009 Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography. In 2010, he was selected as one of the 10 all-star dancers in the seventh season of SYTYCD.

On December 13, 2022, Allison Holker notified Los Angeles Police Department officers that tWitch had left his home without taking his car, which was unusual behavior. Police received a call about a shooting at the Oaks Inn in Encino, Los Angeles, where Boss was found dead. He reportedly shot himself. Although the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed his death, the office did not specify a cause of death.
