Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss’s Mom Pens Heartbreaking Tribute to Her ‘Firstborn’ 1 Day Before Anniversary of His Death

Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ mother Connie Boss Alexander remembers her late son a day before the first anniversary of his death.

“One year ago today,” she captioned a montage full of pictures and videos of their favorite moments together. “You sent your last I love you, your last applications and closed your eyes in this earthly realm and woke up with all the ancestors in the presence of God.”

“My firstborn [sic]my first heartbeat,” Connie continued, recalling the “little smile” he would make whenever she called him “my BooBoo.”

“My beautiful son, Stephen Laurel Boss, I miss you beyond words and love you through eternity. #LLSLB 09/29/82-12/12/22🕊️♾️❤️💙🙏🏽,” she concluded.

On December 13, 2022, So you think you can dance alum died of suicide. He was 40 years old.

“It is with the heaviest heart that I have to share that my husband Stephen has left us,” his wife Allison Holker Boss confirmed at the time in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else, and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”

Last week, Allison, 35, celebrated her tenth wedding anniversary with her late husband.

In December 2013, the dancing couple got married in So you think you can dance creator of Nigel Lythgoe’s Villa San-Juliette Vineyard & Winery in Paso Robles, California. Paying homage to their dance roots, the two performed a hip-hop-inspired dance number to Justin Bieber’s hit “Somebody to Love” alongside Allison’s daughter Weslie during their wedding celebration.

In a heartfelt tribute he shared on Instagram, the choreographer opened up about how he felt love and loss.

“We honor love by finding peace and gratitude in the memories of those who forever transformed our souls,” she wrote. “On our anniversary, I find myself in a space of peace that encompasses so many beautiful moments that I felt and experienced. I celebrate our love with all my heart.”
