Steve Burton and his estranged wife Sheree (Gustin) Burton have finalized their divorce.
The Days of our lives actor, 53, and Sheree have agreed to divorce terms including joint legal and physical custody of their minor children, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Burton is required to pay Sheree $12,500 a month in child support for their minor children, son Jack and daughter Brooklyn, until April 2024. He will then pay $10,000 a month.
Both parties also waived their right to spousal support “now or at any time in the future, notwithstanding any contingencies that may exist in the future.” However, Sheree will receive $50,000 retroactively.

In July 2022, a rep for the soap star confirmed exclusively to PEOPLE that Steve had filed for divorce from his wife of more than 20 years. The actor and Sheree got married in 1999 after meeting on set General Hospital.
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE show that Steve officially filed for divorce in Orange County Superior Court on July 7, 2022, and that the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement.
According to the documents, Steve listed March 1 as the official separation date, citing irreconcilable differences.
The filing also indicated that Steve was seeking joint legal and physical custody of Jack and Brooklyn. The couple are also parents to Makena, 20. At the time of filing, Sheree was pregnant, but Steve later confirmed the child was not his.

In addition, Steve asked the court to terminate both his and Sheree’s right to receive spousal support after the divorce is finalized.
The announcement comes two months after Steve shocked fans when he revealed he and his fitness pro wife were no longer together.
“I wanted to clear something up,” ex General Hospital the actor wrote in an Instagram Story in May, adding, “Sheree and I are separated.”

He continued: “She recently announced that she is expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine. We are still parents to our 3 beautiful children together. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much love, Steve.” Sheree is currently expecting her fifth child, which she announced on Instagram in October.
