Viewers noticed that one moment professional dancer Vito Coppola was talking to dancer Ellie and presenter Claudia, and the next he was wearing a completely different outfit and performing his point.
The lack of transition left the crowd at home confused.
One person exclaimed: “Super quick costume change, Vito!”
Another complained: “Then there was a quick change from Vito. Now it’s so obvious that the performances were pre-recorded before pre-recording – they’re doing an increasingly poor job of seamless integration.
A third agreed: “That’s a quick change Vito!!!”
While some people weren’t impressed with the editing mishap, others found it funny.
Someone took to social media and joked: “Wait, how can Vito be talking to Claudia about pasta one minute and dancing in Texas the next?! Vito is superhuman”
Another replied: “Is that a bird, is that a plane, no it’s a Super Vito!”
One Strictly fan reached out to Xu to explain that the dance numbers are performed by professionals on Saturday night after the voting queue closes and then broadcast on Sunday.
This means that the segment is not happening live – which has left some viewers unhappy.
