Meanwhile, Paralympian Jody Cundy, who finished bottom with 20 points, avoided the dance-off after receiving enough public votes to move him above the two women.
Nikita and her pro partner Gorka Marquez Jive to Kids In America failed to impress at “Movie Week” and finished second from the bottom on Saturday.
After they danced it again, the judges decided to send them home.
After the judges made their decision, Nikita said: “I don’t want to leave yet, I feel like I let him down.
“I had the best time and I love all my Strictly family, I will miss you all.
“This was a dream come true, I’m so grateful. I have to say the biggest thanks to Gorka, he was my biggest supporter and I had the best time.”
Gorka, 33, said of Nikita: “I’m more proud of her, for someone who has no dance experience or performance experience to come on this show and dance in front of millions of people – for three weeks, I think that’s amazing.”
Turning to Nikita in front of the camera, he added: “You should be very proud of yourself, you have never let me down and I am very proud of you.
“This show will teach you so many things about yourself that you can take away with you and I will take away amazing memories. I’ve never laughed so much in three weeks than with you.”
Strictly professional dancer Amy Dowden also returned on Saturday night for the first time since being diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.
Amy, 33, shaved her head and started chemotherapy after being diagnosed in May, and on Sunday said she had decided not to wear a wig when she appeared on the show.
She wrote on Instagram: “Their love and support gave me the courage to decide at the last minute to step forward and bravely face baldness.
“Messages like the above are why I use my platform to raise awareness and hopefully give others confidence #baldisbeautful.”
She continued: “I’m not saying it was easy and I still really miss my long hair, but oh my, was it liberating, and it’s breast cancer awareness month, which gave me extra incentive to do it.
“I can’t wait to get back out there with the Strictly family again soon.”
